The Ladies Section at Lakeside Lodge GC is very friendly. Players of all ages and abilities are made welcome and are encouraged to play in Club Matches, Friendly Matches, Mixed Matches and County Competitions. However, if you are only interested in playing golf for recreational purposes we will make you just as welcome.
Monthly Medal and Stableford Competitions are well supported by our Ladies, some of whom prefer to play the alternative Medal and Stableford Competitions that take place in the week rather than at a weekend.
The Ladies section is a busy one – we have a very full fixtures diary.
For those Ladies new to the game of Golf or to Lakeside Lodge GC the Ladies' Twilight Season is an ideal opportunity to meet new and existing lady members of the club. For novice ladies it is a great way to learn more about the game of golf (different competition formats, etiquette and rules), but most of all it is about having fun, gaining confidence, making friends and joining up with other ladies who you can also play golf with on a more regular basis.
The Twilight season starts in April and runs to late August – every Tuesday evening, please check the ladies notice board and website nearer the time for more information. The only thing we ask is that before coming along to Twilight, you must have had some lessons and played at least a few rounds of golf. You do not need to have a handicap to join in.
If you would like to know more about the Ladies Section, how to obtain your handicap or would like details of ladies that would go out with you to mark cards for handicap purposes please contact the Lady Captain, Lady Vice Captain or ask in the Pro Shop – contact us – we are all here to offer our support and answer any questions that you may have.
