The Men’s Section at Lakeside Lodge GC is very friendly. Players of all ages and abilities are made welcome and are encouraged to play in Club Matches, Friendly Matches, Mixed Matches and County Competitions all which are posted on the main notice board in the Pro Shop Foyer. However, if you are only interested in playing golf for recreational purposes we will make you just as welcome.
Monthly Medal and Stableford Competitions are well supported, with some members preferring to play the alternative medal and stableford competitions that take place in the week rather than at a weekend.
For those new to the game of golf or to Lakeside Lodge GC the Men’s Twilight is an ideal opportunity to meet new and existing members of the club. For novices it is a great way to learn more about the game of golf (different competition formats, etiquette and rules), but most of all it is about having fun, gaining confidence, making friends and joining up with other members who you can also play golf with on a more regular basis. The Twilight season starts in April and runs to late August – every Wednesday evening, please check the men’s notice board and website nearer the time for more information. You do not need to have a handicap to join in.
If you would like to know more about the Men’s Section, how to obtain your handicap or would like details of members that would go out with you to mark cards for handicap purposes please contact the Club Captain, Men’s Vice Captain or ask in the Pro Shop – contact us – we are all here to offer our support and answer any questions that you may have.
